About the Festival

The King Abdulaziz Camel Beauty Contest has been eagerly looked forward to each year since they were launched in the year 2000. The Contest attracts not only direct participants, including those who make their livelihood from the events, but also those who enjoy the increasing number of activities associated with the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival. In 2017 the King Abdulaziz Foundation (Darat Almalik Abdulaziz) was entrusted with the organization of the Festival under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, developing a new strategy and new program, under the supervision and direction of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince, Second Deputy Primier, and the General Supervisor of the Camel Club. Several agencies contribute to the work of the Festival, such as the Interior Ministry, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the Ministry of Health, the Arriyadh Development Authority, General Entertainment Authority, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, and the Ministry of Culture and Information.

Organizing a diverse cultural, economic and sporting Festival that promotes participation, accentuates the heritage, propagates nationalism, and reflects the cultural depth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

  4. To provide a cultural, touristic, sporting, recreational and economic platform for camels and their heritage.
